Introduction

This series will describe a past life I have entered twenty-one times. Its purpose is to record these experiences as guidance for my own growth, to remind all of us of what is possible as humans, and to affirm and encourage you in your own explorations of realms beyond the physical.

I returned from every one of these journeys feeling affirmed, expanded, and awestruck. What I learned there was beyond anything I could have conceived of. The most inspiring realization was that what I experienced in Lemuria is possible now, in the 21st century.

My process has been to narrate and record these journeys while deep in trance, create the transcript, then review the recordings to edit and amplify the transcript. This has enabled me to explore and document aspects of the journey that moved and changed too quickly to describe fully at the time. The result is a much deeper and more complete description of the events, perceptions, and learnings of these journeys.

Exploring Beyond the Physical

There are realms broader and deeper than the physical world, domains unbounded by three dimensions, linear time, or our five senses. They have been sought for many centuries by meditators and mystics, yet earlier explorers were constrained, particularly in the West, by preconceived notions about the universe, religious dogma, fear of persecution, and a lack of direct experience. They were “seeing through a glass darkly.”

We have moved beyond many of these limitations. We possess concepts and techniques that make our observations of other realms farther-reaching, more detailed, and more consistent from one observer to another. I have been personally empowered and encouraged by these advances:

• The scope of modern physics is expanding, with increasing attention to dimensions and sources of energy beyond the familiar electromagnetic spectrum. It is understandable that many scientists still resist acknowledging what cannot yet be measured, but also noteworthy that a growing number openly accept such realities, at times admitting, “I can’t believe this, but I know it is true.”
• Hypnotic and meditative techniques such as Michael Newton’s Life Between Lives process, Dolores Cannon’s Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT), and shamanic or spiritual practices, that enable almost anyone to have a personal experience of their own past lives and realms beyond the physical.
• Within mainstream culture there is a steadily growing recognition of the value of plant medicines and entheogenic molecules, which can temporarily expand consciousness beyond ordinary boundaries.
• Thousands of credible reports, ranging from near-death experiences to carefully documented research studies, that converge on a consistent image of the nature of reality beyond the physical.

Crossing Thresholds to Higher Levels

In my childhood I had occasional, sometimes powerful, experiences of the paranormal that confused or frightened me. They were not explainable by the beliefs with which I was raised. I learned to understand and welcome such experiences when I began studying a shamanic path with Tom Brown Jr. at the age of 42 (readers of Douglas Adams, take note!). That was my turning point, a doorway out of three-dimensional limitations. I studied and taught that path across North America and in Europe for more than twenty years, grounding myself in the nature-based spirituality practiced by indigenous peoples around the world.

Later I began to explore consciousness, mysticism, and eventually the realm of existence beyond physical death. I read David R. Hawkins and Ken Wilbur. I read Michael Newton’s book Journey of Souls and found a hypnotherapist who guided me on two past life journeys, then into the Realm of Souls. That was like going home to a place that is only love, where I experienced an awakening to and remembering of a seemingly infinite domain that had been unknown to me. Most importantly, it opened me up to new sources of guidance, complementing what I had found on the shamanic path.

More recently I found the teachings of the Law of One, and as with the other sources, there were common threads and stories that resonated with my own experience and encouraged me to explore further.

Note: I use concepts and terms as they are defined in the channelled material known as the Law of One. If you are new to the Law of One, here’s a summary of some ideas that will be useful as you read.

The word Density doesn’t mean “material heaviness.” It’s a way of describing a level or stage of consciousness and spiritual evolution.

• 1st Density — Awareness of existence. Includes all inanimate matter.
• 2nd Density — Growth and movement toward individuality. Includes all living matter such as plants, fungi, animals.
• 3rd Density — Self-awareness and choice whether to be motivated by love of others or love of self. Includes only human beings.
• 4th to 7th Densities — Higher lessons in love, wisdom, integration, and unity, eventually returning to the One Creator.

Each Density has a more concentrated (more dense) “quality of light” which beings attain as their consciousness develops. Physical form also changes, but the defining factors are the scope and nature of the beings’ awareness and the lessons of that stage.

My Path Into Channeling

I first became aware that I was channeling on a vision quest in July 2021, on my third day of fasting in solitude. Surrounded by West Coast old growth forest, sitting in a patch of sun-warmed grass, I was writing in my journal. I noticed that where I had been using the first person, writing “I,” “me,” “my,” the pronoun had changed to the second person “you.” I also realized that the ideas and words I was writing were not coming from my own mind, but from another source through my mind.

The channeling continued after my quest. August 6, 2021, a week after returning from that quest: “We perceive a blockage in you, in your green ray [chakra]. We cannot remove this for you. Doing so is your next task. Great progress will ensue. You may/must choose among the tools you already have and use them diligently.

“We admire/are proud of/are pleased with your opening/blossoming. We say this cautiously because we are concerned that your ego is strong.”

Note: I sometimes combine several words or terms because in conscious channeling, I am offered concepts and have to do my best to express them in human terms, using the language that is available to me. Sometimes a single word or phrase is insufficient, hence the use of the forward slash. At other times the source of the channeling will correct me and offer words that more accurately express their intention.

Just over two weeks later, on August 23, 2021: “You are approaching readiness for a new level of activation of your indigo ray. We sense some trepidation at this prospect. Be assured, dear one, that this will lead to power you have not experienced in many lifetimes.

“Do not forget us! It is our duty/honor to be with you now and through your attainment/expression of this activation and balancing.”

Months went by — my trepidation manifesting as procrastination. On April 5, 2022, I entered a channeling session and wrote “I wish to learn more about the activation of indigo ray and how to attain that. You referred earlier to ‘power you have not experienced in many lifetimes.’ I am requesting your guidance/assistance in re-experiencing those lifetimes to learn what that power was and how to activate my indigo ray in this lifetime. This feels important.”

The response was immediate: “We look within you. We encourage you to visit a past life or lives in which you experienced full activation of your chakras. You know how to do this.

“You will find this to be familiar territory. It whispers to you in this lifetime through the veil of your confusion, your technology and its anesthetic effects, the strength of your mind, and your fear of surrendering.”

A week later I did a Past Life Regression with the stated intention to visit one or more past lives in which I experienced full or nearly full activation of all of my energy centers. I wanted to know what that state felt like, what was enabled within me, what my thinking and perceptions were. What follows is the edited and amplified transcript of my trance-state oral description of that journey.

In case you’ve been under a rock: chakras are energy centers described in ancient Indian spiritual traditions. The word means “wheel” or “disk,” reflecting the idea of spinning centers of subtle energy within the body. They are not physical organs but correspond to aspects of consciousness, vitality, and spiritual growth.

1. Root — Base of spine. Individuality and survival, grounding, physical vitality, reproductive drive. Red in color.

2. Sacral — Lower abdomen. Personal identity, emotions, the self in relation to another, intimacy. Orange.

3. Solar Plexus — Upper abdomen. Willpower, group identity, self-confidence, social power. Yellow.

4. Heart — Center chest. Love, compassion, acceptance, connection, healing. Green.

5. Throat — Throat. Expression, communication, truth, wisdom, clarity. Blue.

6. Third Eye — Forehead between eyebrows. Associated with the pineal gland. Intuition, inner vision, perception beyond the physical, spiritual connection. Indigo.

7. Crown — Top of head. Union with the divine, pure consciousness, transcendence, oneness. Violet.

Together the chakras describe a spectrum of human experience, from the physical and instinctual in the lower three to the spiritual and transcendent in the highest two. Balancing them is considered essential in yoga, meditation, and healing traditions, aligning body, mind, and spirit as pathways to self-realization.

The Journey Begins: Into Another Life

I enter the meditation easily. Before long I make a smooth transition into a past life.

There’s brightness all around me. My clothing is a flowing robe of pure white. I am outdoors, standing in a courtyard of smooth white stone, the sections two by two meters in size. At the edges of the courtyard are low mounds that look like earth. Around me is a scene of busyness at the edges of the stones. Someone walks by about ten meters away, moving left to right, effortlessly pushing a wooden three-wheeled wheelbarrow. He is dressed in off-white garments a bit rougher than mine, but well-kept and aesthetically pleasing.

The overall feeling is of calm, purposeful work done in easy harmony among the workers, their tools, and the materials they are working with. There is a shared consciousness among the workers which differs from the consciousness within their materials and tools. It is similar to the Law of One descriptions of First, Second and Third Density differences in consciousness.

Note: It is not until my second journey that I know my name in this lifetime is Keth. Having two of us occupy the being of a single person became smooth, and soon his consciousness and mine usually felt like a single entity. For clarity I generally refer to him by name and use the first person to refer to my primary consciousness as Wes.

A Telepathic Society

Keth is directing the work without gestures or words. His expression is “I hold the work.” At first I think that the work is physical, but that perception does not feel entirely correct.

… I’m gaining a deeper understanding of the words “I hold the work.” Keth has within his consciousness a comprehensive image of what is being created — a multidimensional blueprint encompassing all levels of the project: spiritual, physical, and energetic. It includes spiritual aspects that I don’t understand, the physical form of the structure down to the smallest details, its influence on the land and the flows of air, water, and light, and its aesthetic and emotional resonance.

Keth transmits segments of the image to the workers so that they know exactly what is to be done to manifest the vision of the architect.

Up to this point I have felt like an observer within Keth’s mind, that Keth’s identity is not distinct from my own; this is normal in a past life journey. Though initially Keth was apparently unaware of my presence, I now realize that for him, the presence of another entity in his consciousness is normal and he is not surprised by my arrival. He understands, even seems to anticipate, what is happening. I’m both grateful for this and baffled by it; later I understand that combining consciousness with another human is normal in a fully telepathic society.

I use Keth’s senses now to explore further. I look down. My feet are a rich red-brown-bronze color. I am wearing light sandals held on by a band between the first two toes, a band across the bridge of the foot, and a band around the heel. No metal. They are elegant. My feet are finely boned. I am well over 6 feet tall. I look at my hands and arms. They are the same color, and quite thin.

I know this is Earth. I wonder where and in what era. I consider possibilities including Egypt, China, Mexico, and Peru, but none of them feels at all resonant so I let that question go for the duration of this journey.

(Later, when I emerge from this meditation and discuss the journey with my partner, she points out the obvious: this is either Atlantis or Lemuria. I know instantly that Keth is Lemurian.)

On my hands are three large rings, incongruously large, looking too big to be comfortable. Two are on the middle and ring fingers of my left hand, and one on the middle finger of my right hand.

The rings are not worn except in special circumstances. I understand that they are functional as well as symbolic, and their function is related to Keth’s vocation. They connect him to something in a fashion which is either communication or energy transfer of a kind I can’t immediately identify.

The Chakras of a Lemurian

With his permission, I guide Keth’s attention inside to see his chakras. It occurs to me that my perception may be tainted by images of chakras I have seen in my own timeline, but I quickly realize that what Keth sees is different. My connection with him becomes stronger as I observe at a new level of intimacy.

There is a strong light around the lower four chakras: root, sacral, solar plexus, and heart. This light indicates a high level of activation and harmony among these chakras.

I feel strength in my throat chakra. This is related to my role among my people. It is the strength of clear communication of a leader. I feel great love and admiration for my people, and they reflect that back to me.

There is a sensation of fullness in my head, in my indigo chakra. This reveals a high level of spiritual sensitivity and strength.

The violet chakra is simply there. It feels like I have no top on my skull. This is an unblocked conduit from me to higher beings. I am connected with a collective being from higher. This is a collective that speaks to me from time to time, offering guidance and wisdom as a good friend might do. Our connection is easy and ongoing. We have been connected for as far back as I can remember.

The Energy of Being

I feel the energy in the stones, the plants and the people. I see it at whatever level I choose. I can see the macro — the physical manifestation — and at the same time at a level below atomic, where it is pure energy. The energy “condenses” along a continuum from a state of pure energy into physical matter. The interface where energy becomes matter is a discontinuity in this continuum.

It is a misunderstanding to talk about “frequency of vibration” with this energy. It flows, it moves, but until it condenses sufficiently to be perceived as having physical existence it is not granular/particulate or vibratory/wavelike. Those properties apply to electromagnetic energy but not to this energy. As I am having this thought I feel momentary frustration with the lack of terms that capture or even acknowledge the differences in the sources, qualities, and effects of what lies beyond the physical plane.

As the energy condenses it takes on form, color, and different textures. I (Wes experiencing Keth) can see my body as energy below the level of physical subatomic particles. I have an understanding that healing can be accomplished at that level simply by turning my attention to it and seeing it this way. I don’t know how to do that healing at this point.

Wes asks Keth, “What is it that gives you this ability to see the energy and understand that it condenses into physical matter?”

There is some puzzlement in Keth at the question. The first response is, “This is how we are.”

Lessons for the 21st Century

Wes’s thought: in my current incarnation, I observe there are almost none who have this capability; the question becomes, “What is it that I have here that I do not have in my current physical life, that is so rare there among humans?”

“It is about not only awakening the chakras but also fusing them.”

This comment comes from an entity other than Keth or Wes. I am startled but not distracted by this. (Note: the remaining dialogue of this journey is between Wes and the other entity.)

My chakras are fused into one, but at the same time they are still individually functioning energy centers. The fusion looks like a golden light that encompasses all of them. It is the shape of — it’s hard for Wes to get his head around this — the fused chakras are a golden ball in my center, but at the same time they are all in their positions in my physical self. The golden ball is about 16 inches in diameter and its center is at my center, which is not the location of any chakra.

[On a later journey Wes sees this more clearly as a long ovoid shape, not quite a cylinder. It is a rich, shining rust color.]

I come back to the question of “What is the relationship between this perception of the chakras and the capability of seeing different levels of reality?” I address this to Keth, but the other entity speaks.

“When you activate the chakras above a certain level and balance them, your Density increases to a level at which this kind of perception and the capabilities that come with it is normal.”

This is a different use of the word “Density” from what we ordinarily give it. The entity is using the word as the Law of One teachings do, to refer to the intensity of Light, which increases as an entity progresses to higher states of being. This is the best analogy they can offer using our language.

“Am I to attain this state in my current incarnation as Wes?”

“You are capable. It is easier than you think. We will guide you in this if your will chooses it. This is at the limit of the laws of free will and interference, and yet we are being told that you are to be assisted as much as we can, to the edge of and perhaps beyond our conception of these laws. If we are inhibited by our sense of what free will and confusion should be like for you, we are to ask for help from our guides. This gives us confidence and we encourage you strongly to have that confidence as well.”

“What do I need to do?”

“Meditate. Hold in your mind the images that you have seen in your lifetime. Also hold in your mind the experiences that you have had here. Remember that doing arises from being. Meditation will make it possible for you, if you so choose, to attain that state of being.

“Your fear is in danger of pulling you out of this consciousness. Let it go.”

I let go of the fear and I look at my hands. They are sparkling. They are made of light. I feel my physical self as light.

In my body as Wes, I look into my physical hands, aware that I am seeing in the manner that Keth described earlier. They look like an infinite number of points of light. These points of light, in my hands and in other physical objects in the room where I am lying, are molded into the shape of those objects. The air is also sparkling. As I turn my attention outward from my physical self, I can see into all that is around me. The sparkles are all of the same color, a golden white.

I am exploring this new way of perception. Most of it is visual, some seems tactile. I recognize that language is a very limited way to communicate what I am perceiving.

I turn my attention back to Lemuria and Keth.

I’m receiving direction again from the other entity. It says,

“Remember that when you choose to see things in your mind’s eye this way, you are drawn into the state in which that perception is effortless and shows you a reality that is much more powerful than what your mind generates as a memory or an image.

“Move the light up and down what is called your prana tube. Remember that your prana tube is individual to you. You are the reason for the existence of your prana tube. It connects you up and down with something much larger than yourself.

“Don’t be limited by the conception of ‘tube.’ The energy flows up and down in a fashion that is much less constrained than would be the case if it were actually confined to a tube.”

After several minutes of silence I ask, “Is there another lifetime that I can shift to or that would be beneficial for me to visit?”

“When you have worked with this for a while, bring this question again.”

The journey is coming to an end. I drift slowly and comfortably back to the physical.
